Leaf Artificial Plants and Trees is a trading name of Leaf Design UK Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 11172250, VAT number GB301192356). References to “we”, “us” and “our” in this document mean Leaf Design UK Limited.

Who pays for return postage
If you are returning an item because you have changed your mind, you pay the cost of returning it to us. This applies to UK orders and orders delivered outside the UK alike. We do not offer free returns and we do not provide prepaid return labels. Many of our items are large, so we recommend obtaining a quote before you decide to return; an online courier comparison service such as Parcel2Go is usually cheaper than the Post Office.

We pay the return cost where an item is faulty, damaged in transit, not as described, or where we sent you the wrong item. In those cases you will not be out of pocket and nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.

Our 30-day returns window
You have 30 days from the date you receive your item to tell us that you wish to return it. This is longer than the 14 days you are entitled to by law under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 in the UK and, for orders delivered into the European Union, under the Consumer Rights Directive. The additional time is offered as a goodwill gesture and does not reduce or replace your statutory rights.

Once you have told us, please send the item back without undue delay and in any event within 14 days.

Condition of returned items
Please take reasonable care of the item while it is in your possession and return it complete, with all of its components, and wherever possible in its original packaging. You are entitled to inspect and handle an item as you reasonably would in a shop — opening the packaging to look at an item does not affect your right to return it. However, where the value of an item has been reduced by handling beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning, or where components are missing, we may reduce your refund to reflect that loss in value. You will also need your receipt or other proof of purchase.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. In these cases we will arrange collection or reimburse your return postage.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, such as special orders or personalised items. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on gift cards.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refunds
We will notify you once we have received and inspected your return and let you know whether the refund has been approved. Where a refund is due, we will make it within 14 days of receiving the goods back from you, or of you supplying evidence that you have sent them, whichever is earlier. If you cancel before your order has been dispatched, we will refund you within 14 days of being told. We refund to your original payment method and you will not incur any fee as a result.

We refund the price of the goods together with the standard outbound delivery cost you paid. We do not refund the supplementary cost of an upgraded or expedited delivery service that you chose. Where an order-level discount was applied, that discount is apportioned and deducted from the refund. Please remember that it can take some time for your bank or card issuer to post the refund to your account. If more than 14 days have passed since we confirmed your refund and you have not received it, please contact us at sales@leafplants.co.uk.

ORDERS DELIVERED OUTSIDE THE UNITED KINGDOM

Right to cancel (EU consumers)
If you are a consumer and your order is delivered to an EU member state, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days from the day on which you, or a third party you nominate other than the carrier, take physical possession of the goods — or of the last item, where an order is delivered in several parts. To exercise this right you must inform us of your decision by a clear statement, by email to sales@leafplants.co.uk, before that period expires. You may use the model withdrawal form set out at the end of this policy, but you are not obliged to. As a goodwill gesture we extend this period to 30 days for consumer orders.

Returning the goods — you pay the return cost
You must send the goods back to us without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days from the day you tell us you are withdrawing. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. We do not provide prepaid return labels for orders delivered outside the United Kingdom. Because our items are large and bulky, return carriage from the EU is typically £25–£60 depending on size and country; you should obtain a quote before deciding. Refunds on non-UK orders
We will reimburse all payments received from you, including the cost of standard outbound delivery — except for any supplementary costs arising from your choosing a delivery type other than the cheapest standard delivery we offer — without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day we are informed of your decision to withdraw. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or until you supply evidence of having sent them, whichever is earlier. We will use the same means of payment that you used, and you will not incur any fee as a result.

Condition of goods returned from outside the UK
You are liable only for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. Please take reasonable care and, where possible, return items in their original packaging with all components. Opening the packaging to inspect an item does not affect your right to withdraw.

Import duties, VAT and customs charges
Goods are dispatched from the United Kingdom on a Delivered At Place (DAP) basis. Prices shown at checkout do not include import VAT, customs duty, clearance or brokerage fees charged in the destination country. You act as importer of record and are responsible for paying all such charges. They are demanded by the carrier or the customs authority, usually before delivery. We cannot calculate them in advance, as they depend on the rules of your country.

If you refuse or fail to pay these charges and the goods are returned to us, we will refund the price of the goods less our outbound carriage cost and any return, storage or abandonment charges levied by the carrier. Where goods are destroyed or seized by customs, no refund can be made.

Import charges that you have already paid are not refundable by us. You may be able to reclaim them from your own customs authority following a return, and we will provide proof of export or return on request.

Returning goods across a customs border
Return parcels must be marked clearly as “RETURNED GOODS — NOT A NEW SALE” together with the original order number, and you must pay any export or return charges. We will refuse return parcels sent carriage-forward or with duties charged to us; refused parcels are returned to you at your cost, and we cannot process a refund for goods that we have not received.

Business and trade customers
The cancellation rights in this section apply to consumers only. Business and trade buyers have no right of withdrawal, and returns are accepted at our discretion.

Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy affects the mandatory consumer protection rights available to you under the law of your country of residence.
